As a former Marine Ive been away from home a lot.The first time I was deployed I hated saying goodbye to my family my city my friends my home, but by my third deployment leaving became a part of my duty. It never gets easier but 500 nights away from home will give you a deeper appreciation for the simple things in life. When I first left active duty I was healthy comfortable and surrounded by the people I love but if Im really honest with myself transitioning into civilian life wasnt easy. I didnt have a degree and I had no idea which direction to go in. So I did what I was taught to do as a Marine... I just kept putting one foot in front of the other. Fast forward to now and Im a licensed real estate agent with a BA in Criminal Justice starting a 16 month accelerated MBA program. Determination has no deadline. I might be late to the game but Im always moving forward. Though my typical workday has changed my military service has profoundly impacted my personal and professional development. The similarities between Marine and realtor might not be immediately apparent but at closer inspection theres an obvious common thread. Dedication determination responsiveness and integrity are integral to your success in either role and I pride myself on keeping my clients best interests at heart. Most importantly my military background has helped me to understand the real value of home. Home is where your heart is- its the place where you let your guard down and where you kick your feet up. Im thankful to have a career that allows me to help my clients find a place to enjoy the simple pleasures in life- a place that feels like home.
